Job Description:
•    Aids the Principals, the Academic Deans, and the Director of Kindergarten with issues pertaining to primary school education. 
•    Advises teachers on course creation, lesson planning, and general problem solving for day-to-day operations of the pre-K and Kindergarten program as well as for grades 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Helps to design and improve the overall framework of the curricula for the Child Care Center and the Primary School.
•    Ensures adherents to excellent teaching standards, and fosters a culture of academic excellence
•    Collaborates and implements academic planning and policies.
•    Prepares yearly curriculum guide and coordinates the course selection procedures.
•    Helps to coordinate and submit budget for the academic program.
•    Implements professional and curriculum development.
•    Coordinates departmental and other academic meetings, as well as administration of major examinations.
•    Mentors new teachers, as well as supervises and evaluates teachers.
•    Gathers and analyzes data on student achievement to promotes individual student and team success.
•    Reviews syllabi created by teachers for all primary school subjects to give feedback on any course content deficits discovered.  
•    Reviews lesson plans created by teachers for all primary school subjects to integrate pedagogical techniques and activities that are appropriate for primary school level students.
•    Helps in the recruitment of professional teachers trained in primary school education.

 

Qualifications, Experiences and Skills:
•    Master’s degree in school administration, primary school education (any subject), educational psychology or a related field. A minimum of 3 years administrative and teaching experience at the primary school level.
•    Experience in the supervision of faculty members.
•    Through knowledge of school standards and requirements for primary school education
•    Proficiency in curriculum development and an understanding of current trends and best practices in education for young children.
•    High standards of professionalism and professional ethics.
•    Recognition of the diversity in cultures and nationalities within the school.
•    Open-mindedness and willingness to try new directions and be flexible.
•    Excellent self-management and organizational skills.
•    Patience, perseverance and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
•    Ability to prioritize workloads and to inspire children and adults with an enthusiasm for learning.
•    Good team-player attitude with a strong ability to communicate with a diverse teaching and administrative staff.
