Elementary School English Teacher

Position: Elementary School English Teacher

School Section: Grade 1-6

Reports to: Head of English & Foreign Languages Department

Period of Appointment: Full-time

Location: Sanya, Hainan Province, China

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Adapts teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests

* Establishes and enforces rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among the students for whom they are responsible

* Observes and evaluates students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health

* Instructs students individually and in groups, using various teaching methods such as lectures, discussions, and demonstrations

* Reads books to entire classes or small groups

* Asses student's performance and progress to ensure they are mastering the skills on regular basis

* Meets with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress, and to determine their priorities for their children and their resource needs

* Follows and complies with teaching standards and safety regulations

* Participates in other developmental programs

* Participates in faculty committees and the sponsorship of student activities

* Performs other duties as many, from time to time by assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications, Experiences and Skills:

* Master's Degree or above in a related major.

* Proven working experience as an Elementary school teacher, Elementary school teacher assistant or teacher aide

* Excellent knowledge of child development and latest education theories and practices

* Creative and artistic teaching abilities; proficiency at interactive teaching

* Patience and flexibility

* Good team-player attitude and solid communication skills.
